We host a number of programs geared toward helping the community:

Alpha & Omega Substance Abuse Recovery & Mentoring Program
This program helps recovering individuals rehabilitate into society as they seek to become productive citizens by teaching the principles of establishing a solid relationship with Jesus Christ as the key to living a life free from the bondage of addictions. We will accomplish this through Intervention, Education, and Prevention.

S.O.L.A.C.E. (Stretching Out Loving Arms Creating Encouragement)
This program focuses on empowering youth to make appropriate choices to become leaders. We value all youth. We strive to give each youth the opportunity to achieve his/her potential through support, encouragement, supervision, structure, education, training, and advocacy. This program was designed to build self-esteem, coping skills, develop academic learning, relationships, and group skills. The skills we teach are: social skills, employment skills, tutoring, money management, human sexuality, legal rights and responsibilities, family life, assertiveness, and actions and consequences. We host various events monthly to teach these skills and provide a safe haven of recreation and learning.

The Food Bank
The origin of the Food Bank dates back to 1991 when a Soup Kitchen was established to assist individuals and families in need. At this time, meals were on a carry-out basis because the facility did not have a dining area. Due to the increasing growth of individuals and families, as well as a better method of providing assistance, Love and Mercy Food Bank was established. The Food Bank is here to assist individuals and families that are in need of support in feeding themselves or "making ends meet." If you or anyone that you know needs assistance, please call the corporate office immediately.

Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet was established in 1997 during the Welfare Reform Act. The provision of professional clothes to those seeking employment in order to better their lives was the mission of the program. In collaboration with the Department of Family and Children's Services, people are continually referred to us, and the program is successful in helping families succeed. To donate or schedule a pick-up, please call our corporate office.

Community Give-Aways
After seeing the massive need for clothing in the community, we decided to expand our services to all people, even if they did not have a referral. Through collaboration with World Vision of Albany, Georgia, we are able to provide food, clothing, household items, hygiene items, and toys to families and youth in need. Business and individual donors are welcome to donate clothing or other items to our agency so that they can be disseminated to those in need. To donate or schedule a pick-up, please call our corporate office.
